How We Ship
Different items require different care. We tailor our packaging and transport methods to the specific needs of what you order.
Live Fish & Plants
Packed in insulated boxes with oxygen-rich bags and temperature-regulating packs. Dispatched early in the week to prevent weekend delays.
Glass Aquariums
Ultra-clear glass tanks are secured on custom pallets. Transported via specialized freight couriers to ensure they remain flat and protected from impact.
Equipment & Hardscape
Filters, lighting, wood, and stone are carefully boxed with eco-friendly void fill. Standard tracking is provided upon dispatch.
Our Live Arrival Promise
We stand by the health of our aquatic life. If your fish or plants do not arrive safely, simply provide a clear photo of the un-opened bag within two hours of delivery, and we will arrange a replacement or store credit.
Acclimation Steps
Proper introduction to their new environment is crucial for the long-term health of your aquatic life. Follow these steps immediately upon delivery.
Temperature Alignment
Turn off your aquarium lights to reduce stress. Float the sealed transport bag in your tank for 15 to 20 minutes. This allows the water inside the bag to slowly match the temperature of your aquarium, preventing temperature shock.
- Keep the bag sealed during this phase.
- Dim the room lighting if possible.
Gradual Water Mixing
Once temperatures align, open the bag. Gently add a small amount of your aquarium water to the bag every 5 minutes. For sensitive species like shrimp, we highly recommend setting up a drip acclimation line to slowly introduce the new water chemistry.
- Double the original water volume slowly.
- Process should take roughly 30 to 45 minutes.
Gentle Release
Never pour the transport water into your main display. Use a soft net to carefully transfer the livestock from the bag or acclimation container into your aquarium. Discard the remaining transport water.
- Leave the lights off for the rest of the day.
- Delay feeding until the next morning.
